Reduced re-adhesion after die-cutting of double-sided tape

When die-cutting sheets with double-sided adhesive tape using a continuous blanking mahine, the sheets are re-adhered after punching, leading to a decrease in work efficiency. Is there a blade that can prevent re-adhesion?

Blade material used : NCA07-ST, Edge Angle 60°, 0.7x23.6 4575
Cutting target : Sheet with double-sided tape

SOLUTION

We propose an NC blade with the cutting edge set at an obtuse angle (cutting edge angle 60°).
Since cutting is performed while crushing the cut surface of the sheet, re-adhesion is expected to be prevented.

Comparison of cutting edge angles

Result

As a result of pressing the sheet cut surface, re-adhesion after pressing is prevented and work efficiency is improved.
This processing method is useful for projects that do not require a high degree of aesthetic cut surfaces.
