Rust Prevention Measures Using Stainless Steel Materials

In industries such as food and medical, strict quality control standards are required.
Rust formation on cutting rules during die-cutting can pose a serious issue.
Is there a cutting rule available that offers effective corrosion resistance?

Blade material used : NCA-SUS 0.7 x 23.6 75 Edge angle 43degree (Center bevel)

SOLUTION

Standard cutting rules typically use S50C carbon steel as a material, which makes rust prevention challenging.
By manufacturing cutting rules using stainless steel materials instead,
it is possible to achieve significant improvement in corrosion resistance.

Medical industry

In the food and medical industries,
it is recognized that extremely strict management is necessary
due to issues such as foreign matter contamination and hygiene management.

Result

By using “NCA-SUS” made of stainless steel, we were able to reduce the risk of rust.

Stainless steel is not a rust-proof material, but it is expected to significantly reduce the risk of rust compared to conventional S50C steel.
As a result, we were able to provide our customers with a sense of security and improved workability.
