Refine your sensibilities

When running a business, it is easy to focus only on earnings and efficiency. Of course, these are important elements that support the foundation of a company. However, I feel that there is “something” that is overlooked if these are the only factors.Perhaps it's the unspoken truth behind a customer's offhand comment, the subtle tension in a team member’s expression, or the sound and feel of the factory floor—the atmosphere, the energy, the pulse of the workplace. The ability to sense these unspoken cues—things that aren't easily put into words—may actually be what determines the true quality of management.Sensitivity dulls when we stop paying attention. But when we make a conscious effort—by visiting the frontlines, listening closely to people’s voices, and observing the subtle nuances of everyday work—our instincts become sharper,
little by little. It’s a sense developed through experience and intuition, not through efficiency or clear-cut answers. In today’s world, overflowing with information and driven by AI and data, I believe that human sensitivity is more important than ever when it comes to making final decisions.I want to be the kind of person who can notice the intangible—those subtle shifts in atmosphere, those faint feelings of discomfort that numbers can’t capture. At the same time, leveraging the power of digital tools is essential for the future of management. What truly matters is not choosing between intuition and data, analog and digital, but understanding the strengths of each—and finding a way to integrate them harmoniously. As we continue to refine our human instincts, I believe we can coexist with digital innovation, aiming for management that is not only deeper, but also more adaptable and responsive.
