Classification of Nakayama’s CUTTING RULES
- CA(No-High-frequency hardening)
- Standard blade; uniform hardness
- NCA(Senter Bevel)
- Blade edge is processed by high-frequency hardening to obtain durability.
- NCD (Double Long Bevel)
- Suitable for punching thick material
- NCE (Triple Long Bevel)
- Suitable for punching thick material
- NCC (Side Bevel)
- Best for punching to obtain straight cross-section surface
- NCF (Side Double Long Bevel)
- One side of the bevel is straight; the other side is double; superior durability
- MIR Rule
- Mirror finish on the blade edge. Ultimate sharpness and low cut resistance create smooth cross-section and prevent paper dust.
- PERFORATING RULES (Center Bevel)
- Best for tearing or folding from perforation
- NC (LABEL RULES)
- With height of 6H to12H
- NCD60 Series
- Double Long Bevel with bevel angle of 60 degrees, preventing paper dust
- MAD60 Series
- Having a back taper on the back of NCD60
- Fluoro Resin Coating RULES
- Non-adhesive blade with fluoro resin coating
- Silky Coating RULES
- Non-adhesive blade with silicone coating
- PET
- Blade edge is hardened at HS80 degrees. Especially for cutting resin.
- NC EDGE WAVE RULES
- Blade edge is wave shape. Used for cutting cardboards. The cut cardboards can be carried safely (the Product Liability Law).
- FORM PERFORATING RULES
- 16H in height. For lateral perforating.
- PERFORATING CREASING RULES
- 0.45×23.0/23.4. For lateral perforating
- CREASING RULES (IRON)
- Not hardened
- SPECIAL CREASING RULES(STEEL)
- Hardened
- SPECIAL CREASING RULES(STEEL)(Dull Point)
- Hardened edge is rounded at a sharp angle.
- CUT CREASE RULES
- Cut and crease are alternately arranged; best for acute-angled folding
- Hi-MIR
- The edge of PET (30H or more) is mirror-finished.
NC Series adopt special steel with superior durability, bending workability and stability in the same bending work. Blade edges that are sharpened with a grinding wheel made of fine abrasive grains have unparalleled sharpness. These edges(normally 0.3 mm from the blade tip), processed by high-frequency hardening to achieve high hardness of HS70 - 80 (HV550 - 680/HRC52.3 - 59.2), are less-wearing and maintain sharpness, thus ensuring a high volume of punching and creating a large quantity of punched products with smooth surfaces.
STANDARDS OF NAKAYAMA’S CUTTING RULES
STANDARD BEVELS
* The above are standard bevels (Thickness of 0.7 mm).
* Bevels with different shapes and edge angles other than above are also available.
STEEL TYPE
Application | Steel type |
---|---|
Bendable | S50C |
Durable (Unbendable) | SK85 |
Resistant to corrosion | SUS |
The specially-hardened material forms a surface-softened layer and is highly bendable.
THICKNESS
We only use steel sheets manufactured by our reliable contractor, which meet our own thickness tolerance standard.
The thickness difference between the points T1 and T2 is less than 0.005 mm.
HEIGHT
Bevels of the CUTTING RULES are sharpened with a special grinding wheel made of fine abrasive grains. Height and edge angles are measured by the grinding machine in real time, controlling them in micrometer. Based on the processing information printed by lot, we only ship the products within the height tolerance range.
HARDNESS AND WIDTH OF SURFACE-HARDENED LAYER
- Body hardness:
- HS (Shore hardness)
40/45/50/55/60/65/70/72 - Edge hardness:
- HS (Shore hardness)
65/70/72/75/80 - Width of surface-hardened layer:
- Width of surface-hardened layer: 0.3 mm (from the blade edge) for the regular product; products with width of 0.2 - 0.5 mm are also available according to your need.
